Cregeen Committed To Unathletico.

Unathletico Madrid 'keeper, Matthew Cregeen, has moved quickly to oust talk that he is to quit the club in search of a new challenge. In the past 24 hours, the Manx national has been subject of two failed bids from the History Boys and Los Blancos, who are very keen for his signature. However, Cregeen has released a statement through his own official website stating that he isn't prepared to leave Unathletico Madrid and that he is staying.

"Despite interest from other teams, I am 100% committed to the Unathletico Madrid cause and fully intend on helping them rise up the league table to gain a respectable position come the end of the season."

This will be seen as a crushing blow to both chasers as they look to fill their goalkeeping positions. Both the History Boys and Los Blancos are without 'keepers due to retirements. History Boys manager, Nick Bell, still has hopes that his current number 1 will postpone his plans for retirement.

History Boys look to extend Giblin deal.

Nick Bell celebrates Blackpool's Christmas victory against Sunderland.

History Boys manager, Nick Bell, is planning on tabling an offer to current number 1, James Giblin, to postpone his plans for an immediate retirement. Warrington born Giblin, 20, has played a key part in the History Boys season by starting all but one of the History Boys' fixtures this season. After being plucked from the football wilderness, Giblin looked set for a lengthy career with the History Boys. But after his absence in today's game against No Name United, his no show fuelled speculation of his departure.

In an interview with James Giblin, we discovered that he is planning an early retirement from football, to concentrate on his family.

"With the resumption of the league after the winter break, I've decided to hang up my gloves and focus on my family and to explore other paths in my career. I thank the club for having me and I've enjoyed my 4 month stint here."  said Giblin.

Nick Bell isn't prepared to give up on Giblin though and pleads that his number 1 stay with the club until the end of the season. It's been widely reported that he's interested in bringing Unathletico Madrid 'keeper, Matthew Creegen, to the History Boys. However it seems as if Bell is making a fresh move to extend Giblin's stay. In an interview with TalkSport Radio, Nick Bell was quoted saying,

"Erm, we have received a notification of James' plan on retiring and at the moment we've accepted his decision despite how upsetting it is to the club. He's been with us since the beginning and has done a very good job for us. Erm, whether I'm prepared to reside to let him leave is another matter. I still think he can do a job for us and I'll be in contact in regards to postponing his retirement until at least the end of the season."

Nick Bell will hold talks with Giblin within the next few days and he, along with most History Boys fans, hope he will extend his deal until the summer.

Los Blancos enter Creegen chase.

Los Blancos manager, Stefan Wilson, has thrown his club into the growing amount of teams interested in Unathletico Madrid's goalkeeper, Matthew Creegen. Reported earlier today, it seemed that league rivals, The History Boys, were attempting a coup by tabling several offers to Joey McNally, none of which have been accepted yet. But late into the night, Los Blancos made an approach for the highly rated 20 year old and the competition for his signature has begun to heat up. Both teams are without their first team 'keepers, both through retirements. With no clear successor within their teams, they've looked out to bring someone in.

Creegen is a clear favourite for both teams, as his experience and calibre appeal to both managers. McNally is still keen on holding onto his prize asset and he's hopeful that Creegen will remain with The Blues. It's not sure where Creegen will be playing come next week but at the moment he remains an Unathletico player.

Boys move for Unatheltico 'keeper.

Keeper Krazy: Nick Bell continues his search for a new goalkeeper.

History Boys player/manager has confirmed rumours that he's interested in bringing experienced goalkeeper Matthew Creegen to his team from Unathletico Madrid. The player recently played in an emergency-loan for Nick Bell's team and his performance seems to have convinced the manager to make a move for the Manx national. Creegen, 20, has been in a rich vein of form this season with some sparkling displays for Joey McNally's team and it's yet to be seen if he'd be prepared to leave. Bell believes a bid in the region of £15 could be enough to tempt Welshman McNally to part with his prize asset.

What ever happened to good TV game shows?

Gameshow legend, Roy Walker, on the best gameshow ever.

I'm asking you now... when was the last time you saw a decent game show on television? Where have the days of Bruce Forsyth's Price is Right, The Generation Game and Catchphrase gone?
The likes of Roy Walker, Les Dennis and, of course, Brucey used to make Saturday nights!

But now the game show scene is being black marked by the likes of Deal or No Deal and Golden Balls?! I mean seriously, how can you call a game where the idea is to blatantly guess and pick boxes is not a game show. It is THE shittest game show ever. What places Noel Edmund's shite box parade at the top of the league for shit game shows, is because they imply that there's skill in the game. "I'll have box 8 please Noel." As if they've had a lot of thinking to do. I'd like to point out that in the Generation Game, you had to remember  the best part of 12 items in order to win... and they were going bloody fast on that conveyor belt!

Noel Edmunds, evil mastermind behind the Deal or No Deal show.

So I ask, nay, I beg! Dear people that control the magic picture box, please give us back the decent games. In exchange, we'll give Noel Edmunds, Vernon Kay and Phillip Schofield in sacrifice to bring back Roy Walker, Les Dennis and Jim Davidson!

Christmas Time can be rewritten.

Matt Smith in 'The Doctor and Vincent'

YES!

Sorry for that little outburst... I'm just getting very excited for the new episode of Dr Who to be aired on Christmas day. Matt Smith returns as the quirky Time Lord in this new episode of his adventures. As it's Christmas, there's obviously going to be a Christmas theme. How about a classic? Yes, the producers that turn the cogs on Dr Who have served up a treat by adapting Charles Dickens' infamous book, A Christmas Carol. I don't know the entire story yet and I wouldn't want to either... I like the surprise. But here's something I do know.

**Spoiler Alert**

As BBC News at 10, just before Match of the Day, would say... "if you don't want to see the results, look away now."

Well, Michael Gambon guest stars as a Scrooge-esk character who has the chance to save a space-liner from a dangerous Space Shark. It's all very exciting, with The Doctor utilising his TARDIS to help convince Gambon, who impressively plays Harry Potter legend Albus Dumbledore, to assist in the saving of thousands of people on-board the stricken liner. It sounds brilliant, as per usual.

It's fair to say, I'm looking forward to this Dr Who Christmas Special more than Christmas itself!
