Unathletico Madrid 'keeper, Matthew Cregeen, has moved quickly to oust talk that he is to quit the club in search of a new challenge. In the past 24 hours, the Manx national has been subject of two failed bids from the History Boys and Los Blancos, who are very keen for his signature. However, Cregeen has released a statement through his own official website stating that he isn't prepared to leave Unathletico Madrid and that he is staying.
"Despite interest from other teams, I am 100% committed to the Unathletico Madrid cause and fully intend on helping them rise up the league table to gain a respectable position come the end of the season."
This will be seen as a crushing blow to both chasers as they look to fill their goalkeeping positions. Both the History Boys and Los Blancos are without 'keepers due to retirements. History Boys manager, Nick Bell, still has hopes that his current number 1 will postpone his plans for retirement.
